Red Goby or Sea Goby is one of the Vietnamese favorite fish. Red Goby is wild caught at sea cage or mangrove forest from the Middle to Southern Vietnam. Red Goby or Sea Goby is available all year round with peak production during summer and fall.
Demands are largely dependent on wild populations, thus fetching high prices in the local markets. Every year, we distribute a small quantity Frozen Red Goby fish throughout Asian communities.
Raw Red Goby has an elongated & toned body with red / bright brown scales. The size of about two fingers and about 100 grams/up.
Red Goby fish is one of popular fish, used mainly for consumption purposes in Vietnam. It is highly popular among the local market due to its fine texture and is believed to have healing properties.
Red Goby has no little bones. The cooked meat is very delicate, firm, tasty white flesh; rich in Vitamin B6 and B12, especially unique aroma of a inshore-caught fish.
Red Goby is also famous for large quantities of healthy protein and very low amounts of saturated fats. They are usually used in grilling, curries or cooked with fish sauce, etc.
Red goby braised with pepper served with hot cooked rice, which has the salty, aromatic, and greasy taste of goby combined with spiciness of pepper, is not a luxurious delicacy, but it warms the heart of the expatriates living in foreign country.
