Swamp eel is the first bony fish. Swamp eel has a scaleless, elongated body with a tapering tail, blunt snout and originating in the waters of East and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam. Swamp eel are generally found in slowly moving freshwater regions.
In Vietnam, Swamp eel is grown naturally in tanks. In recent years, the marketable rice-field eel culture has strongly increased in some areas of Vietnam. The market of Swamp eel is getting high demand. Thus, Swamp eel is a sustainable farm-raised product.
