Milkfish or Milk Fish is an important food fish in India, Southeast Asia and and particularly in the Philippines where it is the "National Fish". In the Philippines it is called bangus while in Indonesia more popular as bandeng. Most of commercially available milkfish is farmed.
Our Milk fish are caught in southern Vietnam seas. Milk fish is available all year round with peak production during summer and fall.
Each year, we export a few Frozen Milk fish to Asia communities in EU, USA, etc. Available sizes are 100 / 150 / 200 / 300 / up (gr/pc).
Raw Milkfish have an elongated & toned body with yellow, silvery scales.
Milk fish taste is not that strong, that’s why it can be cooked and mixed easily into wide variety of recipes such as milkfish salad, milkfish sandwiches, milkfish soup, milkfish stew, and many more. But one of the most recommended cooking methods to cook milkfish is by pan fried since it can brings the taste to the best.
Milkfish is a healthy fish offers many nutrients, vitamins, and minerals especially omega 3 fatty acids and high quality of protein which is good for overall body function.
