Sea Pink shrimp are often referred to as salad shrimp. It is naturally abundant from South of Vietnam, specially in Mekong delta.
The tail of raw Sea pink is much red than Sea White & Vannamei, and the shell are translucent.
The common sizes are 91/120, 100/200, 200/300, 300/500 as well as. However, sizes 10/20, 21/40, 41/60 are also available in limited quantity.
Sea Pink shrimp is usually sold peeled, cooked or not and packed in Block Frozen for Japan, EU, etc market.
Sea Pink shrimp have a very sweet taste, more flavorful. After cooked, the shell is pink, and the meat is an opaque white tinged with pink. The cooked meat is fairly firm.
They are best used in salads, casseroles, quiches and omelets and as a garnish for other seafood. Raw Sea Pink meats can be sautéed with garlic or battered and quickly fried.
